I moved to Springhill Lake in September of 06' and have had issues from the beginning. Our original apt was messed up beyond belief. We looked at it before we moved in a requested another one. When I actually moved in we had a roach problem. Which hasnt stopped although its slowed down. Now we are induring a problem with mice.. As of today we have caught our third mouse on our own even though exterminators have been out. What they did didnt help any. Maitenence around here sucks horribly. Their response time is the worst. They say ill be there in and hour and dont get here for 3/4. They say they will return to fix something and never come back. The staff at the collections offices arent very nice either. I have also noticed a variation of random bugs in my apt. There are also a lot of children around this neighborhood so noise is probably going to be bad in the summer. They have already started gathering around in the front of my building. One of the windows in a bdrm in my apt was broken which I was away by a rock, the windows to the building are often broken by the children. Parking sucks if you get home after 7pm. There have been a lot of random fires around here in the past few months. I was told that this was a really bad area and to not go out to late and things like that however, I havent actually experienced anything that would concern me. My neighbors upstairs are really loud when they walk and drop things and arent really considerate of the fact that people live below them. So where are the positives you ask' Well.. there really arent any. The only good things is that its close to my school, and the rent is probably the cheapest your gonna find in this area. But I still wouldnt recommend it. For a little extra you would find a better apt around.
