When I first moved here, I thought it would be much worse than it is, because I have friends that live here, and they have roaches and mice, but their apartments are filthy. I was told not to move to this section of the complex because it had the cheapest rent and it was more dangerous, and the maintenance and staff will not respond to anything.
However I have not had any problems at all. When i first got here, I saw a few roaches but I put down boric acid and cleaned like crazy. I never leave dishes or anything out, and still clean everything with bleach regularly, and I have not seen one roach since I first moved in months ago. My neighbors have them, and thye are occasionally in the hallway of the building, but none in my apartment. There definitely have been no mice or anything else.
My building is mostly families with small kids, but you would never know because it is extremely quiet.
Everyone at the rental office, maintenance, and other staff I have come across have been very nice and helpful. The few times I called maintenance, they were here within two days. Last time I called because I could not open my mailbox, and someone came out and fixed it in about 30 minutes.
My apartment has more than enough space, and the rent is reasonable for this area, especially with the student discount.
The only things I dont like is that there are no streetlights, and at night it is pitch black, and all the parking spaces are taken. I been pissed coming home late at night and having to walk blocks in the darkness. However there is alot of greenbelt police patrolling. Also, the laundry facilities are scary looking. There are only 2 washers for each building, and there are extra empty rooms in the laundry area, easy for someone to hide out in. I only go down there in the daytime.
Overall I like it here, I have had nothing but a pleasant experience here, not at all what some people on here said it would be like. No roaches, mice, police raids, loud ignorant neighbors, or crackheads running loose. I will be renewing my lease next year.

Ok, first of all you arrived at your apartment and you had roaches and YOU had to get rid of them. Why didn't the apartment complex ensure that your apartment was roach free prior to moving in. Second it is clear by your writing that you are a single women and now you have to worry about someone jumping out from the darkness and attacking you. Great how come the maintenance department has not provided lights in your area. Have you asked them? Lets' see how log it takes for them to do this. I am greatful to Greenbelt Police and believe that do an excellent job, but have you ever asked yourself why they are always in SHL. Could it be because of the high crime rate. You think! Hopefully when you go home for Christmas you won't bring roaches home to your love ones. Read the Greenbelt Review for the truth on the crime issue! I hope you wise up and move out.

I'm glad that you like it, however, I wouldn't get too comfortable, especially since it sounds like you live in one of the rougher areas of the complex. Justdtruth4u--are you a resident??

I LIVED ON BREEZEWOOD COURT FROM DEC.TO JUNE AND I HAD TO MOVE BECAUSE I SAW A MOUSE IN APRIL AND THEY SUPPOSEDLY GOT CONTROL OF IT BUT OH NO, I SAW TWO MORE IN JUNE SO I LEFT TO GO STAY WITH MY GRANDMOTHER UNTIL THEY CONTROLLED THAT SITUATION AND HOLY HELL WHEN I CAME BACK IN AUGUST THEY SET UP REFUGE IN MY APTARTMENT RAN ALL THREW IT I HAD TO THROW AWAY EVERYTHING FURNITURE THEY SHI**ED IN, THEY ATE UP EVERYTHING IT WAS COMPLETELY GROSS THE MAINTENENCE WAS SUPPOSED TO FIX EVERTHING IN APRIL BUT THIS ----- NAME SHARON THAT TAKES YOUR MAINTENENCE TICKET GOT SMART WITH ME SO WE GOT INTO IT SO SHE FELT LIKE SHE WOULD BE CUTE AND NOT TELL THE EXTERMINATION THAT THEY WERE NEEDED ASAP, SO MY APARTMENT WAS A COMPLETE CATASTROPHE I ADVISE EVERYONE TO STAY OFF OF BREEZEWOOD COURT IT'S RAGGEDY AND TRIFLIN ON THAT STREET AND TENANTS DON'T EVEN PUT THE GARBAGE IN THE CAN THEY SIT IT ON THE TERRACES OR THEIR PORCHES THATS HOW RODENTS START. THESE APARTMENTS ARE BEAUTIFUL BUT JUST STAY OFF OF BREEZEWOOD COURT I TOLD LEASING THAT THEY NEED TO CONDEMN THAT BUILDING BUT THEY WENT AHEAD AND MOVED A TENANT RIGHT ON IN ANYWAY, OTHER THAN THAT I HAVE NO PROBLEM HERE, THEY GAVE ME A FREE APARTMENT AFTER ALL THAT AT FIRST THEY WERE TRYING TO MAKE ME PAY THAT $700 TRANSFER FEE UNTIL I MADE THE EXTERMINATION MANAGER GO CHECK OUT THAT BREEDING GROUND FOR HIMSELF THEN HE PAID FOR MY NEW APARTMENT WITH A MAINTENENCE MOVE BECAUSE I WAS GETTING READY TO CALL CHANNEL 7 NEWS AND EXPOSE THEM WORSER THAN WHAT I ALREADY AM. SO MY RATING IS 8 JUST DON'T ACCEPT ANYTHING IN THE 6200 BLOCK OF BREEZEWOOD COURT AND YOU'LL BE COMPLETELY COMFORTABLE.
