I signed a lease end of Dec 08. The 1st & 2nd week, Neighbor leaves trash outside in hallway (paper trash left in bldg on a daily bases)
Open the door to the bdg and BAM.. TRASH on the floor. 2nd week now I have mouse poop in my home. NO roaches.. BUT mouse poop. Mouse infestation is a health problem. I had to call the city of Greenbelt to document the problem and write up a violation and they still have not corrected the problem, nor contacted me about the problem. Their 7 days to fix the problem have passed and now I want a new apt.
Maintenance supervisor could care less.
NEW management is a joke. They do not want to give me a refund on my rent. I need a refund on my January rent and a new aprt, plus moving and storage.
This apt is unsafe for me and my family.
Not to 50% of all the security lights are out on the bldgs.

i know how that can be. Mice are the nastiest rodents on the planet. i had a mice problem for a little while. Maintenance came into my apt and left the panel in my bedroom open, also they did some work on the washing machine and left holes in the wall around the plumbing. i am assuming that thats how they got in. i am extremely paranoid of rats. i have a full blown phobia of them and i am not exaggerating. i suspect that is how the problem began because we never had the problem before. i called maintenance... well you know how that went. So i went down the street to Pets Smart, adopted a cat and since then ive never had a problem. i like animals so that was easy for me to do. I would like for this apt complex to approach me with anything in regards to me keeping a cat in my apt. i would welcome that. Anyway, To your problem: you should open and escrow account and pay your rent there. They wont have access to it untill you give it to them. Since you have notified the proper authorities this should be easy to set up. lets bet you will have all your problems solved in no time.

These apartments really need to be renovated. It's unfortunate that you did not see this site prior to renting at this development. They really suck!

I am glad I saw this site...was looking to move there, but now...NO WAY!!! I would absolutely pass out if I saw a mouse and around my son??!! My goodness, I am shivering just thinking about it....thanks to all who posted about this complex...you saved me from anguish!

Maint, has free will into your apts even if you sign a do not enter notice. They have came into my home twice. Main., Mgmt is a JOKE, D.A., C.S., & S.T. To this date they have 3 written notices to fix violations in my apt. There time is up!! I have gone to court, i will let the site know the out come. Reminder: I just signed a lease 12/23/08. Way too many problems. Mgmt acts like Mice infestation is normal. If you care about your credit dont MOVE here. I am able to get out of my lease, but they expect me to still pay RENT! Well they need to charge those darn MICE in my hse for rent. check w/the city of Greenbelt for recent housing violations, because this place has PLENTY!!
