Don't Do It!

From: -Anonymous-
Date posted: 11/11/2006
Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2006

I've lived in this community for about 4 years and it's getting worse and worse. When I 1st moved in it was Town and Country and it was getting better, then Sawyer purchased it and promised to 'revive' the community...Pppllleeeassseee!!!
It's getting worse and worse every year. I had to threaten to go to Baltimore County housing to get new windows and an semi updated apartment (new cabinets). My apartment is very old and has not been updated, ie i think my tile has been there since it was 1st built, however I have been promised upteen times that I will have my apartment fully updated. They know allow section 8 in the community again, and need I say more' I have gang sings spray painted in the front of my sidewalk (maintenance has to see it everyday) I have trash thrown in the woods behind my apartment (furniture etc) and it's been there for for at least 6 months, I've complained to no avail, saying that I guess I might as well admit that maintenance sucks, they don't do anything, they 'mend' things just to get by. The Management sucks (except Kim, who I feel bad for, b/c she works in such a horrible community). The prop mgr, is rude and nasty, the finance person (Robin) is nasty and rude, the community relations coordinator (christian) is nasty and rude. I WAS the one who was attempting to make an effort to improve the community, but after falling on deaf ears for years now I have totalling gave up and can't wait until my lease in up in March 07, I am gone, i'm tired of the broken promises, and I honestly don't feel safe in my own community, esp, walking into my building. The buildings are falling apart inside and out, and Sawyer is doing nothing about it, talking about a budget (yes I've written letters and so forth to corp office). I am not one to complain, but I feel I'm honestly telling the truth. Some people may love this community b/c they are not used to anything, I don't and I would not rasise children in this community. I was told Cedar Heights Court is the best court...LIES...It's the worst, full of teenagers, drugs and fights!
I really hope someone in the mgmt or corp office is reading this. The property has ALOT of potential, just needs a management team who is ready for the challenge!!
If you like to live in the ghetto, this is the perfect place for you, if you don't, then DON'T MOVE HERE. If you are looking to move into the community, don't ask the mgmt office about the complex, ask the homeowners who live across from the complex, and how their homeowners association are constantly complaining. Oh yeah, one more thing, have no fear about cops not being available for disturbances, this complex is so bad, that the County Police MUST patrol it every hour on the hour! I've come to the conclusion, that this complex does not want honest working people living here, but ppl who really don't care about the community. Honestly, they let ANYONE move into this community. Honestly, the rent at these apartments SHOULD start at $450month, for the amount they are asking for in rent now, IT'S ABSOLUTELY CRAZY! Yes it's cheap compared to other places, but HIGH AS CRAP FOR THE 'HOOD!
