not worth living in

From: -Anonymous-

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007

I moved in during June 2006. When i first moved in, I had no a/c. the temperature for the first two weeks was an average of 90 degrees and it took maintenance 2 weeks to give me a new air conditioning system. The apartment is completely INFESTED with COCKROACHES. They will send out an exterminator ONLY on mondays and i sometimes think the exterminator only leaves a note and not spray the apartment. My smoke alarm malfunctioned and maintenance replaced with with a used one. I chose to purchase my own smoke alarm. The windows are from the 1950's, all metal and very inefficient for keeping heat or cool air in the apartment during the respective seasons. You can have low electric bills if you set your heat to 65 degrees and only have lights on in the room you are currently in. during the summer, the bill will be expensive because it gets hot on the third floors. The locks on the doors generally break with ease so they will have to be replaced at least once per month.

Finally, every weekend, there is high police activity within the community. Sawyer takes money to run a "criminal background" but there seems to be lots of criminals living in the community due to the high police presence.

I would NOT recommend anyone to live there.

PROS: lots of closet space, bedrooms are nice and large living room

CONS: heavy infestation of cockroaches. living room is quite odd to set up for comfort (but it's really not that bad). Cabinets are disgusting, uncleanable, and smelly (no matter how much you clean).
since i originally wrote this, things have gotten worse! i now have a mouse problem, my a/c still doesnt' work. i live on the 3rd floor and the temperatures can easily reach 90 degrees. i shouldn't have a problem with my a/c unit considering they said it was a brand new unit. i would seriously consider lookin elsewhere if you have any respect for yourself. i seriously think that drug dealers, users, section 8 tenants, and the lowest of low people in society won't want to live here. allowing your friend, worse enemy, or someone you wish never existed to live here would make you worse than the worse person on this planet. PLEASE CONSIDER WHAT I AND OTHERS HAVE WRITTEN ABOUT THIS PLACE!!!!!
