Like a previous writer, I too had to break my lease. I moved in here when I was about 5 months pregnant. I was eager to get my first apartment and very excited at the nice place i thought i had found. When i did my tour of my apt there were no signs of mice or roaches. I thought I had a very inexpensive gem. Boy was I wrong. The very first night I was in there I found a roach crawling on my bed. GROSS! Within the first week i began to hear mice playing in the walls behind my head. Exterminators did come and lay traps and roach bait but it was too many for them to attempt to control.
The young men that work for maintenance broke into my sister in laws apartment. They denied it, but there was no sign of force entry and all of the doors were locked back, so it had to be someone with a key.
The first time i ordered food, i was very surprised to see that they don't bring the food to the door. As i mentioned before, i was pregnant and i lived on the 3rd floor. So imagine how upset i was knowing i had to take that LONG walk to the parking lot to get food that i had to pay for. Awful
The neighbors suck, they are very rude. The kids run up and down the hall all times of the night. After my child was born the neighbors would bang on the walls nightly because she was crying. She is a newborn, and newborns cry you ignorant bastards.
Overall, I hated this place and I had to leave. Please dont waste your time here.

I've lived at Gwynn Oaks landing for almost 3 years now. Even though my friends said it was not a good place to live I took a chance. I have been pleasantly pleased. My first apt was a one BR; it had been newly refurbished so there were no problems. When my first least came to an end I moved from the one BR to a two BR. The 2 BR was in what they called Classic but that really meant old...lol. Still, my issues have been minor and when ever I call they come quickly. The new management team has been friendly and easy to work with. In my 2 BR I too had a mice problem but they worked with me and now I am totally mouse free and have been so for well over a year. As tenants we must realize that we must do our parts in helping to rid a problem with mice. If there is food available for them then will come. If you keep things clean and don't leave things for them to eat, they will go away. My only problems with this complex have not been with the complex but with the people who live here. Many are not cognoscente of time and play loud music, drink beer outside your windows (especially during the summer) at awkward times not being considerate of those of us who must get up early or go to bed early. I would recommend this as a nice place to live.
