I am not happy living here. I moved from Ohio to Maryland, and I was used to paying <500/month for a nice 1-bedroom. When I came here everything was so expensive, so I looked for the cheapest I could find in Baltimore County. I looked at about 5 places, and Gwynn Oaks Landing seemed to be the nicest.

After I moved in I found out all the bad things about this place. Here are a couple of the major problems:

#1)Maintenance
Well, the day after I moved in it was raining, and I found out that there was a leak in the bedroom with water coming out of the upper window sill and ceiling. It took them over 3 months to fix the leak, even though I kept calling them, and they kept coming to look at it and trying to fix it but failed. Also, there were cracks in the window sill from the material crumbling that I asked them to fix, but they never did, so during the winter, the room was freezing, and I eventually put up plastic over the window, and told them to forget about it until spring. Also, when you need something fixed, they will come and knock on your door, and if they think you aren't home they will just come in with the key. I called for them to come fix something one day, and they came the next morning when my boyfriend and I were still in bed. We woke up after we heard them knocking, and as my boyfriend was getting out of bed with only his underwear on, they opened the door and came in.

#2)Neighbors
Every day I have to hear people blaring their tv's and music (walls are paper-thin), fighting and yelling, kids running around and doing whatever they want, honking car horns, etc. And they don't care how loud they are or if it is the middle of the night. One early morning my neighbor's music was so loud that the bass was literally vibrating the inside of my apartment. Also, sometimes men will say rude things to me when they see me. It concerns me, so I always keep pepper spray with me when I get home late at night by myself.

Some of the good things: One person of the staff was really nice. The lady that cleans the hallway does a good job. There are some nice trees and bushes outside. Parking isn't too bad.

I totally agree about the neighbors part!!! I have these neighbors who are constantly running around looking for pills.... and I think their predujice, acting like I'm gonna bite them or sometihng. Ughhh!

Early this morning after the bars closed 05/31/09 the people came home posted up on the parking lot and had a live party. One woman got hot of a car that she was having sex with a man in pulled down her pants urinated and got back in ugh!!!! gross
