Scary neighborhood

Years at this apartment: 1998 - 2002
 
The neighborhood was so-so when I moved in and then just went downhill. Too much traffic on nearby Route 40. I lived on the bottom floor and often heard neighbors on the 3rd floor arguing or having sex. Kitchen cabinets were super-ugly and cheap. The stove had to be replaced a few months after moving in (probably for the first time since 1967).
