In response to "Neighbor's Are the Problem I agree 100 percent. For many reasons which I am going to explain.

When you are sitting in any room of your apartment and you can hear "crystal clear" the conversations that are being held above and below your apartment that is a problem. There have been numerous times where I have debated whether or not to call social services due to the content of arguments I have heard between parents and their children. You are correct, if you are thinking this is not my business, I wish it didn t have to be as well. However, when I cannot avoid hearing every word without physically leaving my apartment, I have no other choice.... According to the lease under rules and regulations 1.07 Disturbing noise, you agree not to make or permit to be made any disturbing noises: neither shall you commit or permit any act which will unreasonably interfere with the rights or comforts of other residents. Agreed Neighbors are a problem.

Secondly, As far as dogs being a problem, you are absolutely correct once again!! I wish I could meet the writer of the previous article. NOT only do residents not pick up their dogs waste, but they also do not respect that some tenants do not wish to stay up all night listening to a dog wining, or constantly barking through out the day. I have also written MANY letters complaining about the noise coming from my neighbors and yet has something been done. So again great point!! The dogs are definitely a problem.

Third, the office staff is Incompetent. Every problem I have had has NEVER been solved. The customer service is absolutely OUTRAGEOUS. The product that they are renting is pure CRAP. They look nice from the outside and not bad from the inside... but like I always tell my guests, "wait until the argument starts down stairs!"

Fourth, the smoking comment You are right again. The office cannot tell them to stop smoking. However, it does prove the point that these rentals are very poorly constructed with little insulation. Actually Natasha told me one day that she was sorry, maybe the builders forgot to insulate our walls!!!!!!!!!!! Now that is a GREAT selling point!!! Keep that in mind if you are looking to rent at Cortland apartments.

Fifth, the dumpsters Yes once again you are correct!!!!! People throw there trash EVERYWHERE! Why, because 90% of the time the dumpsters are FULL. There is no where else to put the garbage, because you will get a violation for leaving it outside your door, and I am sorry but I am not leaving my garbage sit in my apartment because Cortland Management can not call for more pick ups. That is obviously an easy fix. If you notice the garbage is not scattered around the complex. All the garbage is scattered around is a completely full dumpster, and I have many pictures to prove that if anyone would like to see them. The office is not waste management, but they are property management and if they do not schedule the pick ups, I am sure they know who does. I was always under the impression that the job of a property management Company was to maintain a great living environment and to perform administrations seamlessly for the best interest of ownership and the tenants.



Honestly, if you can sit there and say it is disgusting for someone not to pick up dog waste OUTSIDE, and say it is ok to smell smoke through our walls INSIDE, you are twisted!!! Kids live in these apartments and you think it is ok to expose them to that' It must be like living inside of a cigarette.



Also for the people sticking up for this place, if you are even a tenant here (which I highly doubt) don t you feel like you have been taken advantage of' Everyone is paying a decent amount to live in these places and if you are satisfied with your walls falling apart and the feeling you are about to fall through your floor and smelling smoke through your floor, then what is wrong with you''''' Not everyone smokes. Some people in the community are educated and care about themselves and those around them. We do not enjoy opening our closets and smelling stale smoke.

There is nothing good about this place and if you look around at those not complaining, they are also the ones who smoke when they are pregnant, yell and curse at their children, and have created a lifestyle at Cortland Apartments that any normal person would choose not to be a part of.
