Another letter left on my door...

Bad news once again. I really dread seeing a note left on my door here.
This time 3 more cars were broken into over the weekend. The security has obviously not improved since the fall. I guess the weather is getting nice again and the crooks are coming out of hibernation. At least this time they have a description. 2 black males. What a lead!
They are obviously not doing much to increase security. Except sending out more notices to residences and telling them to lock their cars. Great advice!
The parking garage is still easily accessible to any Average Joe coming from the streets. There are gates around the community but the gates are open 24-7.
This is totally unacceptable. They told me three months ago when I was moving in that they would improve security and that this would be a "gated-commmunity".
I am wondering where my $1400 is going a month'
Until something is done about security, I will not give them a positive rating.

I don't understand why they have the gates working yet they won't close them? About a month ago they sent out a letter saying the gates were going to be used what happened? Maybe this could have prevented this last incident from happening. Whoever is breaking into these cars are taking GSP systems so people need to take them down when they park their cars.

It is true that people shouldn't leave valuables in their cars...but when you live someplace where this type of thing happened to 8 different residents in the past 6 months, you would hope the staffing would take some measures to increase security so it won't happen again...and again...and again.
No?

Move to Baltimore City and then you can complain about car theft. Don't leave car chargers and GPS systems out and you'll be fine.

I agree with the above statement. I don't care how secure or how safe you think a place is you never leave valuables out in your car. That just goes back to common sense. The place already doesn't have security why help advertise it?

What bunch of posers above. We pay hefty premium to the going market to get some security. This is a apt. ratings website, where we give advice to the future renters. What the poster saying is that this apt is not secure AT ALL. So don't expect it when you pay 20-30% premium over other places. What are all apartments crime infested like this place where we should accept it?

You ought to scan the letters about car vandalism and the 1/2 naked black man and upload them. I find the Bozzuto management at the community I live send out letters but never follows up.
