Been here with a room mate for about two months. Unit is beautiful (brand new actually - no previous resident in our room). Utilities are great, did not have hot water on move in but maintenance was there at 10AM the next morning (per my request - no hot water is considered an emergency and they will come immediately but I said I'd rather wait until the morning since it was late anyways). Color of the walls is even pleasant!
Pool is gorgeous and rarely more than busy - always comfy seats available in sun or shade. People clean up after themselves and the kids aren't a problem. Media room is luxurious and rarely in use, as is the club room. Business center (free internet and printer) is a nice treat.
Garage...if people would drive 5mph as posted, there might be fewer problems. Trucks don't fit well, and I have mini heart attacks every now and then when I almost get into a head on collision, but the convenience of getting into a cool car in the summer and not scraping ice in the winter is well worth $1 / day to me.
Proximity to DC and Baltimore, airport, shopping/entertainment is great.
Construction not a problem on our side. We live on the Arundel Blvd side. After a night or two I got over the sounds of traffic. Hear some people racing up and down occassionally but it beats listening to sirens in the city.
Maintenance is great, staff has been VERY helpful and polite to me. I ask lots of dumb questions, too, and they know me by name but have always been, at the very least, friendly. Visit some of the other complexes around here and tell me how the staff is...not so great...Patrick (manager) is a lot of fun. Staff attended the last social event (Casino Night) which was a huge hit. Residents seemed happy with the event (free food and drinks and entertainment) and I didn't hear much grumbling about the complex.
As for safety - I wish the external doors locked, but the garage is well lit and the gates are helpful. I was relieved to see a taxi driver stuck outside, haha! Sure, multiple cars can sneak in, but for the most part those gates seem to help.
Noise - every now and then we hear our upstairs neighbors and it sounds like they are redecorating or stomping around, but in general we haven't had any trouble. People are quiet in the hallways (and we don't have trash odor problems either...') and sometimes I wonder if anyone else lives here because it's so quiet.
I am close to an elevator...from what I've seen, it's not so bad'' but the moving trucks definitely congest everything. I don't think this problem is unique to the Arbors. At least we (some of us) have elevators.
A friend of mine noticed bugs. Maintenance had people spray literally within 12 hours and will come back if there are other issues.
Gas grills outside are a nice treat, especially because the complex pays for the gas tanks! Free grilling sounds good to me.
People clean up after their pets, too. Mailroom is well maintained, convenient package pick up or drop off in the mailroom if they can fit it in a bigger locked mailbox, otherwise the staff calls to report a package is in.
As for price - we're paying $1450 50 for 2 garage spaces for a 2 br. Utilities aren't any more expensive here than another unit. Quite content with what we're getting for the price.
All in all, I consider it a quiet neighborhood, don't see anyone wandering around that concerns me, love the convenience of the gym, pool, free grills, and the luxury of a brand new unit. I think the complaints should be taken with a grain of salt - we weren't going to visit this complex because of all the complaints on this site but had such a great visit that we signed within a couple hours. Most residents are professionals or families with toddlers - respectful and respectable neighbors. If another place's price sounds too good to be true, there's probably a reason...in my book, we're getting exactly what we pay for here.

I have had general problems with them for a while. Most of the original people are gone (I've been here almost a year now) and they were always sweet and kind. The new crop is sub-par compared to them.
You would have happened to graduate from Towson this year, would you have?

What a great review from THE ROOMMATES who loved the place.
The comprehensive composition of the review is a given or obvious that it was either from the Apartment staff which are roommates who are living in the community, or somebody from the management.
My advice is to be subtle next time if you wanted to share and concentrate on the SOME issues but not ALL. Your review covers all the bases which make it doubtful as a credible review, but a PROPAGANDA aimed to uplift the community???s bad image caused by the reviews in this forum, and balance the negative comments.
We all know that is no perfect place to live, but manage the community well to make it a place worth living. Further, you know which comments are true or not, deal and solve them and you will have good reviews.
On this note, we have seen improvement on the staff???s attitude and their mediocre customer service which is one of the major issue in this community. It is not up to the expected level yet, and you need to keep working on it.

Hi to the last person that wrote...no, I don't work here, I just lived in student apartments long enough to appreciate where I live now...however, since posting I have had two run ins with the staff (lost one of my packages, denied to have signed for it until I found proof from UPS, and also claimed that I never reserved the guest room when I had - also had to prove that) and was not thrilled to wake up to troopers all over the complex because of a stabbing...
