WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER LIVED!

I think I live in the building the tree feel on in July 2006. I was told by a resident in my building a tree fell on the 4th of July and residents had to evacuate for 2 weeks. The roof was blown off of the apartment where I currently reside. Due to the excess water that entered into the apartment there is water damage everywhere, floors are warped and so are the kithcen cabinet. It wasn't until I had moved in did I realize the hell that was now my home. There were so many roaches and mice it brought me to tears. The mice ran around like they paid rent. Maintenance claimed they didn't have any mouse traps so I had to purchase on my own and start catching the rodents myself. I had to buy the stuff used to remove dirt off of the engines of cars to get the roach feces that covered my cabinets. Since December 2006 someone has defecated in the washing machine twice. I thought Springhill Lake Apartments in Greenbelt were bad but this is much worse. The workers in the leasing office act as if you are beneath them, as if they are doing you a favor when its their job. AGAIN, WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER LIVED. DON'T MOVE THERE!

I think I live in the same building as you. Are you adjacent to the bus stop, near the JCPenney entrance of the mall? Building number ending in 66? I was here when the storm hit and had to evacuate as well. The service was a nightmare. The staff is so ingnorant they kept acting like they didn't know what building had been damaged or whether the electric was back on or off. This went on for two weeks and cost all tenants; money, time and aggravation. When I returned I also had what I believed to be hundreds of roaches (never any mice thank goodness). But I finally found the secret to get rid of them. I left for a trip for a week and doused the apartment with Borax. Since I have returned I have seen less than 5 roaches in over 5 months. But I'm not holding my breath with the temperature rising eggs will be hatching. Besides all of this I am staying because I love the location there is so much to do within walking distance and work is a short drive away. Just wish we could do better for the money that we pay.
