I have been at Belcrest Plaza almost a year, and will be moving out as soon as my lease is over. I mean, not one extra day!!! This is the most disgusting place I have ever lived. It has roaches, mice, and bed bugs. I had to get covers for all my mattresses, and throw out the old mattresses because of them. The mice and roaches migrate from other apartments so no matter how clean you are, YOU WILL HAVE THEM. I know, you think you are extra clean and it wont happen, well thats what I thought. They will come in your apartment! The maintenance and staff SUCK. When I first moved in, the damn apartment wasn't even ready. They had this big ass damn industrial fan blowing in the bathroom, cause they had just repainted the tub and sink and it was still wet. It was done so cheaply, that the paint is now coming up in the tub. I placed a work order about 2 months ago, and have not heard a thing. Since I am moving in a month, I just gave up on it. I also submitted a letter to move to another unit, but they never repied. And its not just the staff on site, the rental company (Grady Management) never responded either. One of my cabinets broke, and the maintenance guy just used a metal bar to hold it in place, instead of putting in a new cabinet. Just plain laziness. When it rains the walkway leading to the building floods, so you either have to walk in the mud/grass, or water. You have to go outside to go the the laundry room, and it is only 2 washers and 2 dryers, and the door doesn't lock. At night young kids sit on the machines in the dark by the window and smoke weed. My kids and girl are afraid to go in there. Neighbors smoke big weed all day long. I live on the top floor, and the ceiling cracks and squeaks all night long (wood ceilings). The bed bugs will bite you at night. You will wake up with red marks on your skin from bites. Do not be fooled by the cheap price. You get what you pay for. I was tempted to leave before my lease was over and pay the penalty, and forfeit my security deposit it is soooo bad. TRUST ME ON THIS!!! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! PAY THE EXTRA MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! IT IS DIRTY, FILTHY!!!
