I only lived here for 5 months because of school and terminated my lease a month early. I never had any trouble my with neighbors or crime. Odors do travel between apartments though and I could always tell when the people I shared the stairs with were smoking. Overall people were fairly respectful with volume at night and in the mornings.
There were cockroaches in the kitchen and although we tried to keep it clean there were usually always a few in the mornings around the stove and sink. Not much that can be done about them. Covering the drain in the kitchen sink seemed to help a little. The quantity of them got worse over time though.
BED BUGS(these were what I had the most problem with)! Near the end of my stay here I discovered that there were bed bugs in my bedroom and I ended up getting rid of my mattress. Although there weren't that many there was evidence that there had been a worse infestation in the past. They were located at the base of the walls at the very edge of the carpet. If it hadn't been for these guys it wouldn't have been so bad.
We only put in two requests for maintenance. One they got to within a couple days but no one ever came to fix our 2nd problem. It fixed itself though so we never put in another request.
I went somewhere else to do my laundry.

BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have lived here for about 3 years. I Never had any problem with roaches or mice, however, of all the other places that I have lived over the years where I did have some high levels of roach, mice, ant or spider infestation I never in my life have EVER had a BED BUG problem until I moved to Belcrest Plaza Apt's. And because I did not have such a problem in the past I did not even know what the hell these little bugs were, it was within the first 5 months that I was here that they became evident and quite annoying. It became necessary to dispose of my mattress and all of my bedding including my pillows. Although washing these items helped keep them at a minimum it was not long before they were back with a vengeance. I found vacuuming more often also helped to control them. Believe me if I could find some place better to live I would. However this is all I can afford right now. If I had been made aware of this problem before I moved in I would have never moved in. I wish that I could afford to move, I'd be out of here in a heartbeat. I would not recommend moving here unless you have no better options.

I have also live in Belcrest Plaza Apartments and the only thing that made me up and move was the BED BUGS, and a roach every now and again. But, The Bed Bugs was the last straw for me and my family. But other than that the complex outside and the neighbors were friendly and maintenence was on top of everything that needed to be done. (AS FAR AS THE BED BUGS I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPLEX TO ANYONE) But that just my opinion. Ms. Diggs

I am living there right now, and I hate it because of the bed bugs. I never knew anything of that nature. I am terrified of spiders, and now and again I find black little spiders on my wall at that apartment. It scares me, but when I found out my apartment got infested with bed bugs, I said, its time to go. I am looking where to go next. They tried to blame me and said I brought them in w/me when I moved in. Yeah right. I can't wait to get out. I was terrified, I just had a baby when I found out what was going on. I had to get rid of my nice bed and rest of furniture. Oh, and I get the creeps in my apartment, but heck, maybe that is just me. Feels like posessed by the unnatural to top it off.
