Not the best place to be

Where to begin' I've lived there for three years in a 1BR+Den. My rent went has gone from $660 (which was high even for back then) to $800 ($855 for month-to-month). That is a steady 8% increase per year. Not complaining but that is a bit steep for a 1BR+den+electric. And the electric rates from Pepco are pretty high compared to that of other apartment complexes.
The maintenance people can be slow. I've found that plumbing issues are handled better than any other maintenance problems.
The customer service is horrendous and only got worse with the new company. Turnover is so bad that you never knows who works for them and who doesn't. The property manager is hardly ever available, the hours are an inconvenience because there are no evening or weekend hours for the business office and their record keeping is horrible. Let's not mention how inconvenient it is to get a Swim Pass for the nasty pool they have onsite.
Exercise equipment' Parking' Security' Pests' All jokes at this property. They hope that some bright lights on the sides of buildings is enough to scare away these criminals. There are alot of pest and insect problems. I've had roaches, ants, crickets, gnats and waterbug problems at various times I've been there. Whenever they exterminate in my building, I end up having problems. My neighbors have had mice too.
The parking lots on Madison Street side are horrible and you'd be hard pressed to find parking on Cypress Creek Drive itself. Not to mention that they all need to be repaved.
In its defense, it is well located, cheaper than most other places with the same or fewer amenities and has a beautiful park setting.
