I have lived at Daniel's Run for 8 months now and so far so good. The rental office staff (Orin and Jessica) are very good with the residents. Yes, there are parking problems for residents late at night, but the community is small so what do you expect. The only problem I have is with the security of the buildings. There are 3 apartment buildings in the community, which is perched on a hill. Besides the staff, the UPS, FedEx, USPS, food delivery, newpaper delivery and god knows whatever other delivery person has the codes to get into the buildings. I was leaving for work one morning around 5:00 am and the newspaper deliver guy was in the building AND in the underground parking garage. WTF! I asked him how did he get in the building, and his response to me was, "it's an ordinary garage code!" WRONG ANSWER SON! This is the main problem that I have with complex. Other than that I don't have a problem with paying my $1,200 per month for the property. I have a w/d in my apartment, which is a must. We have a gym onsite-another good thing. The clubhouse is very nice and there are excellent outings offered by the staff for residents. There is a down side to things with the overall parking situation for the residents. I don't have that problem because I parking the garage under my building for an additional $65 per space/per month. I have two spaces because I have a truck and don't want anyone parking too close to me. Daniel's run is a good property and for the price of this area, it's worth it.

I've heard from many of my fellow residents that they just give the codes out because the phones in the lobbies are out of order alot and they don't feel like going all the way downstairs to let people in.

I've always understood that you need a local phone number to link to the front door. I'm from Chicago and didn't feel the need to change my phone number, so I just go and let my friends in when they come over. I think people just need to be a bit more considerate and less lazy and stop giving their codes out. An elevator trip downstairs is not that big a deal!
