I lived on Greenlawn Dr. in building 501....Worst place ever, My boyfriend and I moved in Jan. of '05, our experience there sucked. First off about 2 days after we moved in 2 men (one a known crackhead in the area) were fighting outside of our building over what... who knows, not even seconds after the fight one of the men was shot. So my boyfriend ran into our apartment frantic telling me to "dial 911, someone was shot and they're (meaning the tenants) just watching him die", so i did as he said. Where Was The Security' (thats just one incident). About a month after that there was a young married couple in our building living upstairs from us, They had a tendency to argue an awful lot and they would bring their problems downstairs to us which would later bring the police to our home not theirs, (By now your thinking why didn't you just not answer the door right)But we had to or else there would be trouble... TROUBLE' you ask, well the parent of the young couple was dating the manager in the rental office so if we were not nice to them then we would be constantly harrassed by FLEETWOOD over rent payments that were not due yet. Another thing was that certain people had certain priviliges in that neighborhood, like when my boyfriend went outside to smoke a cig, he couldn't smoke them in the house because of our new baby, he was approched by FLEETWOOD security, they asked him what was he doing out here, his response was I'm smoking a cig, and explained why he had to come outside to do so, "they said we don't beleive you" and "We don't even beleive you live in this building" while they were questioning him still the manager comes walking up the street to see her boyfriend just looking she didn't say anything at all, and acted as if she didn't know him, so I had to go and retrieve a move in sheet they issued us and his i.d. (we didn't have a copy of our lease...and we requested one)just to prove he lived there. If he had been that young couple, the boyfriend, or a one of the other grown hoodrats or crackheads I guess all would have been good. Speaking of crackheads FLEETWOOD has a lot of them! What scared me one day was that I was walking back from popeyes and I'm entering the building when I see something crawling from downstairs on up, at first I didn't know what the hell it was, It turned out to be a lady really dirty and frail she smelled, the whole building smelled of her she was smoking crack right there in the basement that was supposed to be locked. to tenants and outsiders. So I took a pic of it on my camera phone, then reported it FLEETWOOD did nothing to solve this problem, so I gues from there on out, it became the get high building, I saw everyone and everything in 501,don't come here.
