I've been out of that hell hole for almost 2 years, and I feel bad for anyone that is left there (except the crackheads!) I was a former tenant who resided there for "10" years, and let me tell you, I've seen the horrors of Fleetwood.

When I moved there in '96 the neighborhood had been recently "cleaned up" from all of the crime and drugs that had plagued the area. As time progressed, crime and drugs steadily came back on the scene. I had 2 young sons, and the apartment went from ok for the price of the rent to "WTF" was I thinking about. Management was really carefree with fixing things in the apartment, and I was lucky to have a boyfriend who knew how to fix stuff, so I hardly ever had to call.

In 2004, the roaches started becoming a permanent fixture to the point I had to get the exterminator to come in twice a month. The last straw for me was when the mice/rats started making an appearance. It was the grossest thing EVER!!! I went over to management, and they didn't even give it a mind. I even went as far as having my son bring the glue traps to the rental office with 2 or 3 mice on them (yuck!) They said "well I guess we have to get an exterminator back there" like it's no big deal. I asked them if any other tenants complained, and they said no, we are the only ones to complain.

If you value your health and safety, don't move here! It's not worth the money, even if it was FREE I wouldn't do it!

The staff in the rental office lied to you. Mice, drugs and crime is what Fleetwood Village is known for. I lived there almost 30 years ago, my mother moved us the hell out of there before our 1 year lease was up. I don't care how bad my situation is, I would never live there.
