I have been living at Highview for close to 2 years. I hope my review can be helpful to a potential tenant. My intentions are not to discourage you, but to give you the negative and positive aspects of the complex. First...the negative....During the pre move in inspection, I saw a roach or 2 and found that to be very peculiar. My husband and I decided to move in anyway. Needless to say, I should have saw the 1 or 2 roaches as a warning because after we moved we found there were a lot. They are primarily in the kitchen and often come out at night. On 3 different occasions I encountered enormous cockroaches (I almost mistaken them for grasshoppers....that is how big they were). I was absolutely mortified. The exterminator comes out a few times a year and that helps a little....but I am terrified they (the roaches) will follow us when we move. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention the fact that we caught 2 mice in our apartment. I was afraid to enter my kitchen for weeks after that ordeal. The only reason why we have stayed for so long is because we are planning to buy a home soon. Also the our refrigerator leaks often and the kitchen cabinets are dated. The walls are very thin and we can hear our neighbors every move.
Now...the positive....the staff are extremely friendly and personable. Maintenance responds fairly quickly and the apartment is a nice size. Parking is ok...I never have any problems with finding a space. The neighbors are also very nice.
