Keep driving by...this place is whack whack whack! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 5/4/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006   This is what Kirkwood says in their ad in the apartment showcase book.... "At kirkwood and at all kay apartment communities, our attitude is 'Kan do' when it comes to making you happy. From our leasing team, eager to make your move the easiest ever, to our service staff, ready to take on any hump in the road. We're here to make your life simpler!" What kind of bullsh!t are they tryin to pull'! kirkwood is the following: 1. Apartments are TOO SMALL (especially for the rent!) 2. Staff is rude...when our car got broken into a few years ago, we wrote a letter to management about security...and they gave us a letter reminding us of our leasing contract! 3. You place orders to have things fixed in the apartment and it may be a few days before you see results or even hear from them at all. 4. There are roaches and mice. This is in part due to the oldness of the cabnets, countertops, and cracks along walls and bathroom and kitchen surfaces. 5. The walls are paper thin....this means that if you want to start listening to new and exciting new ethnic musical pieces you need search no further than the wall connecting you with your neighbor. 6. The hallways are decent but could smell a lot better and not be messy as much. 7. The "carpets" are not really carpet. its a lining that real carpet goes over to keep it from moving...kirkwood is so cheap. 8. The utilities are included but again the rent is so over priced its like paying extra for...what i dont know... 9. Parking can be an issue. Get a parking pass! Wait, I already told you keep driving you dont want to live here! And lastly, I think the only good thing about living at kirkwood so long is that...it really is walking distance to the metro. that has been very convenient for me with school and work...and walking home drunk on friday nights!
