This complex is tolerable - I would recommend it with restrictions. The maintenance crew is nice - they could use a little more training in certain areas and annual training. the office staff you deal with all of the time is personable. if you send written requests for service then you may have to request the same thing repeatedly until the service requested is attended to. Yes - you may see roaches but if there are any roaches you will see them when you visit the unit. If all of your neighbors are clean and have good neigborly ethics - you should not have the "brown boy (roach)" experience. Some of the neighbors in a building or two do not understand neighborly etiquette and don't keep their unit, outside doors, and patios in good condition (allowing their kids/visitors)to tear things down. Some neighbors act as if they own the building and try to set their own rules- which can be very unsettling.
