This apartment has the worst roach infestation in the world. They come from eveyrwhere and if you are scared of bugs like I am then you will be afraid to walk barefoot even with carpet because you might step on one. There are many bugs smeared on the wallls. Don't think that you are going to get rid of them because they are everywhere. The bathroom is definietly a place that I wouldn't expect to see them because there is not food there. Wrong again, the bathroom is through the wall directly behind the kitchen. I cook as little as possible which is hard on a tight budget. The inside of the building has this nasty carpet that has been there ever since I was like 10 years old. It use to be a shade of green but know it looks like black filth. There are many times that we have come home to no hot water for days without any notice. This building is super old and there is nothing to fix it but to burn it down and start over. There is never any parking because of the stupid design of the grounds. Don't bring any kids here because there isn't any place for them to play at all except the street. The Manager is the worst person of all to deal with. She is a liar and is hardly ever there. Angie, not Angela, and Ms. Perry are very nice but that is all I will say about the management. The truth about Parker House is that it used to be a good apt building when it was owned by a different leasing company, but AIMCO bought the property at its old age and there is nothing that can be done with it. Don't let them fool you. All of the staff work in the office so they don't know anything better than these nasty apartments. If you do make this mistake and take an apartment there, don't let them put you in building 5601. The crime around there is really growing. Never park in the dark around the corner because no telling what will happen to your car at night. My friend's car was broke into 3 times in a row. The washer and dryers in the building are extremely high. It is $1.25 to dry and the same to wash. The laundry room is located in the basement which look like the dungeon. It always stinks because the smells from the food cooking mix and stay in the nasty carpet. There are nothing but older people who live in this building because they are stationary and have been there for years. They have come to expect nothing better. Please pay for your safety and freedom from bugs. There is definitly no where to hide. I can not live like this anymore and I will be moving at the end of July. Even if you go to another AIMCO apt buiding away from Parker House, that is better. Remember, they will never fix Parker House. Look on the AIMCO website and the the other places. www.AIMCO.com For all those who suggested that I should MOVE, I only have 15 days left in this hell whole. Our water is getting shut again today, I guess the monthly shut off. We got a written warning this time. Those people who said that they would recommend Parker House must live in the 1000 series apartment. They don't care about the 5601 building. After moving all the stuff from under my sink area cabinets, I found out there is a big whole still that I ask to be sealed off before and the the major souce of the bugs. I put in a work order for that too. Don't let them get ya!
