I have lived at Plaza Towers for 4 1/2 years. There are 3 elevators of which one is the freight. On average 1 elevator is usually down and the others just need servicing. There are roaches and mice, but I try to control my individual unit by cleanliness. There is a mold problem and the tenants rallied with the appropriate authorities to get that addressed. I rarely hear any noise from my neighbors. It depends on what room you are in and what room they are in. Unfortunately, some people like to have their telephone conversations on the balcony late at night. After the 3rd night, someone just told him to go inside, enough is enough. The laundry facility is located on the second floor and was outfitted with new washers and dryers about 2 years ago. When they break down, they are pretty quick about getting them fixed. The tenants are trifling though when it comes to removing there clothes in a timely manner. Maintenance repairs are slow and substandard. Most repairs are patch jobs. Once we needed a new bathroom door and it took 2 months! As many vacancies as there are in this building, you are not going to tell me they couldn't have replaced it sooner. Also Home Depot is right up the street. Our air conditioning units leak every summer, causing the carpet and rooms to stink. Due to budget they order the wrong size filters so they are laying on the floor, under the units. The grounds are always kept up and the pool is nice. Because of the large parking lot, our cars are regularly broken into/stolen. There is no internal security. The cameras don't work and there have been several break-ins and home invasions. Whenever it happens we are NEVER informed. We are right behind Northwest HS so every week there are policemen and K9s waiting for some delinquent to come out of the woods. We have definitely seen a decline in the quality of tenants in this building over the last few years. It was our desire to move out earlier, but personal issues forced us to stay put. Definitely NOT worth the price.

I definitely agree. The apartment was much better run before. The manager Cynthia does not care about the tenants or the building since she doesn??t live here. Unfortunately some of us cannot afford to move at this time and are stuck with the roaches no matter how clean your apartment is.

I have lived on the property for 8 years (2001-present)and am very disheartened by the above comments. First of all, the manager does live in the building. I think that everyone should "fact check" prior to submitting comments. In addition, I have had many interactions with the both the previous and current manager during their tenure in the building. The relatively new manager, Cynthia has been very responsive and accommodating. I have personally sat in the office when people complained about the condition of their individual units. She always responds even though the residents are partially at fault for roaches, trash etc. How is that her fault? People should realize that the building is extremely old and they do what they can to make improvements. It would be a travesty if they did do a full renovation because they would raise the rent and none of us could afford to live here. Personally, I wouldn't complain about the apartment complex that I live in, especially if you've been living there for years. What does it say about you? If you aren't comfortable where you live, don't make any excuses...just MOVE!!!
