I moved here in May. Most of the people who live in and around my building are nice. But there are a lot of people who hang out around the buildings all day and at night. I got a big dent in my car thanks to someone here. My car insurance went up by just because I moved here. There are shootings at least once a week. The pilot light on the stove always go out and yes, it leaks. One time, it took them at least two days to light the pilot. There are roaches EVERYWHERE. To me, that is the worst. No matter how much you clean and keep dishes washed, they are always there. They will only spray for the roaches if you put yourself on their list. I did that twice and they have only sprayed once. You have to pay for them to put in an ac. I thought that was a ripoff. I don't mind heat so I refused to pay the price. You can't have pets. I guess they want you to consider the roaches your pets. I only moved here because I could not come up with the high a&* security deposit that other apartments in the DC area charge. For me, what is sad is that none of my friends want to come visit. They would rather me go to see them for fear of my neighborhood. If you are like me and you need something to start off with until you can do better, I understand. But if you can do better. Do so. Don't move here.
