my first apartment and i was so happy. i have friends that live on the property and so far they havent had any problems...just maintnence that take there time to fix stuff...thats normal...i visted the leasing office to apply. first the application...i can tell that they dont do background checks....questions like are you in a gang'....have you ever known a gang member'...then the assistant manager...she was the most incredible of them all....all i know that she is in need of training on the Fair House Laws...she was rude and ignorant...fine i applied on the weekend and the apartment that was going to be mine was not ready...so they showed me a model...really nice...fine gave up my deposit and prorate rent..i asked when will the apartment be ready they told me Monday...Monday came the apartment not ready...tuesday came the apartment still not ready...keep in mind my move in date was saturday...Friday came i went personally to speak on regards to the apartment...they told me it still was not ready...but it will be by saturday...saturday came got the keys...and asked them has the apartment been fumagated they responded yes...well let me just say the apartment was ok...they really need to learn how to paint though...my tub they said was going to be replaced in the next month..no problem..moved in my belongings that saturday...and guess what moved out the same night...When i came home that saturday night with the rest of my stuff i turned on the lights in the bedroom and noticed bugs on the walls and cielings...i thought they were ants...so i tried to kill them but they wouldnt die then i opened the closet, little bugs every where...i turned on the lights in the bathroom, kitchen and hallway...bugs everywhere...no not roaches but bed bugs....i took my stuff and left the apartment...when monday came and i took the proff to the leasing office (i tapped the bugs to some foil paper) they were shocked, amaezed...bull...they knew perfectly well that the building is infested....i gave them the keys and demanded my money...up to this date im still waiting for my money back....really good price if you want to be infested. the people in the complex are nice not noisy, just minding there own...the apartments though really bad...to tell you the truth i wouldnt of minded the roaches but bed bugs no thanks i dont want to be eatin alive....im shocked that the tenants have not complined about the infestation but of course why complain if the asst. manager at the complex could give 2 cents about the tenants... the leasing agent though tried to work with me as much as she could offering me another apartment but due to the truama i declined...i feel sorry for that leasing agent having a supervisor as that idiot....and security thats another big laugh....over weight officers taht just ride in their patrol cars, harrasing adults and teens that live in the area...university city would of been better hiring mall cops...
