I have lived at this community for 3 years. While some things have improved they still have a long way to go.
Cons-
The first issue is the loitering. When I moved there in 1999 it was an issue but was not that bad. As the years went by and the loiters grew up it became even more of a problem. There was a cop that lived on the property that did absolutely NOTHING but live there virtually free. Since that time a new officer has moved there and has done his "parttime job" of enforcing the policy. Overall I have had ups and downs there. The manager is not very cooperative but I think she has some underlining issues. I have had to go beyond management in order to get things done. I pay almost $1,000 a month for a 2 bedroom. The apartment is a nice size but we have been plagued by bugs (spiders, silverfish). I have not seen roaches or rodents alothough other residents have had a roach problem. I have had sewege backups and flooding problems. Maintenance has improved but is still lacking in many areas. Crime happens but not as often as you would think in "landover hills". There could be better playground equipment and better enforcement of littering and loitering and being responsible for your guest.
Pros-
Nice neighbors. The majority of people are hard working families. There are washers/dryers and dishwashers in every unit and a laundry room inside of every building. Every apartment comes with an alarm system and a carbon monoxide detector. The style of the apartment is modern.
