This is my first apartment! So bear with me... When I first moved in the leasing office tried to give me this small apartment, on the foot of a hill. I mean you seroiously had to take a long flight of steps to get to it. That was no beuno!
1)I'm a female, 2)I'm single, and 3) I'm not stupid. That apartment that they were about to put me in would have just been a bad scenerio.
The second apartment, that I'm in now is great...except for a one thing.
1)Bugs... Roaches!!
When I first arrived and was starting to wipe down everything and unpack. I saw one and killed it. I really thought nothing of it because the door was open for a while since I was moving to my car and the apartment, all of the time. However, after a time (2 days max) I knew something was wrong. At one point, when I awoke in the morning and turned on the lights a couple of them started scattering!! Not something you want to wake up to!
I'm a clean person, and I heard stories, I just never thought I would be a person telling one now.
I brought traps and bug spray so... knock on wood... I won't see anymore.
I called the housing to refer to the problem, but they sound so nonchalant about it that I don't even know if it'll get done.
Overall, It's a nice place if this is your first apartment, however, I don't expect an experienced person to have this problem. I signed on foor one year, and
that's all how long I'm staying!!
Oh yeah... too many kids, and alot of people that need to do something with their free time.

I lived there for exactly 1 year in 1994 (moved out in 95). I can see nothing about the place has changed. I loved the style of the apartment but the roaches were OUTRAGEOUS!!!! They were huge bugs and nothing you do gets rid of them. In fact, I found out after I'd moved in that the roaches of Cooper's Crossing were legendary. Good luck to you and here's a tip I learned after I moved out: do not take your furniture with you. No matter how well you pack and block everything up, the bugs will come in the furniture and it will take about a year before you realize it. I spent several hundred dollars on exterminators trying to get rid of the bugs I brought from Cooper's Crossing. Finally, my home is bug free but it was a long, hard process.

You poor sweet single female. You will learn from each experience in life and as long as you never go backwards you will make it through the Coopers Crossing experience just fine. Be careful and safe and I wish you all blessings when dealing with the rental and corporate offices.

Oh my goodness, another roach complaint! We have been here a few months and let me tell you, it doesn't matter how clean you are, you will have hundreds of roomies who don't pay rent! We have to move our bed and sofa away from the wall to keep them from crawling on us. It didn't work!! I'm glad that we live at the bottom kind of like away from everybody. BUT, we have to deal with an idiot who likes to shoot their gun late at night sometimes.

I lived at Cooper's and my heart goes out to the single female who posted.
Like her, it was my first apartment. I didn't bring the roaches with me cause I was starting NEW.
I cleaned all the time, wiped stuff down with bleach, even keep my utensils in the refrigerator.... finally I was TIRED of living like that. I eventually moved away and packed in LESS than 24 hours because I didn't want to take the ROACHES WITH ME. As I was packing the roaches were crawling over the boxes.... TRUE STORY.
I eventually moved with resulted in paying DOUBLE what I was paying at Cooper's but I HAD PEACE OF MIND and that my friends, YOU CAN NOT PUT A PRICE ON.
I bombed at my new place before I opened my boxes and I did see one roach after I unpacked. I bombed again and thank God, I didn't see any after that.
My time at Cooper's Crossing will always remain with me. It was NOT a good situation... I hated going home, afraid to invite folks over and just on edge.. ROACHES are the WORST.
Some folks live with them but I REFUSE. I even printed up flyers and asked the neighbors to call to get exterminated too. The office said I was "harassing folks"
I would kill the roaches and tape them on a piece of paper and give them to the office EVERY morning on my way to work to PROVE they existed and it was a PROBLEM.
They thought I was crazy. I guess they thought living like that was acceptable. They were glad to see me go... I guess I was a trouble maker.
Well, I don't care what they think... living roach free now and LOVING IT.
