While this community is well kept and gated don't think that you will enjoy the simplest of amenities here. They keep up appearances well. The price is right but this community has to get back to the basics of customer service.

1) They won't accept packages on the tenant s behalf - the gatehouse will not let the trucks through. The delivery company FEDEX, UPS, DHL guy has to call from the callbox to get the truck through the gate. Then when he gets to the building he has to call from the front door. It really sucks. When the question of why the rental office would not accept the packages the reply was "We don't have room for packages in the office, and people tend not to pick up their package in a timely manner". Keep in mind the rental office is open from 9-5 work hours and is basically a huge club house. So how can you pick up your package in a timely manner with those hours' Saturday would be the only day for those of us who work. Most other communities nearby have longer hours. The other communities managed by Allen and Rocks do offer this service. It just makes you wonder.

2) The phone company must come before 4:30 to turn your phone on. Well we all know how Verizon is so you will likely have more than two installation attempts to try to meet the deadline. Verizon is the only phone choice for the community they will not allow the others.

3) Inability to rent the club house for small events. Why' again it is all about keeping up appearances with them. They don't trust thier tenants' who knows.

On the plus side they do have tenant appreciation events Jazz, and Brunches, Book club. However it s the little things that count. Those things quickly fade to the deepest depth of your memory when you can't receive an important package and have to resort to picking up your package from the warehouse or it's hard to have a phone installed.

If you can spare the extra bucks for the simplest of amenities pass this one by. Happy house hunting!!!

Well, I sympathize with Mr/Ms. Anonymous sentiments. It's the "little things" that count. These monthly jazz events etc. can only be appreciated if Ivy club will take a second look into these situations. Maybe, a refresher course in Basic Customer Service will educated the staff. Try it!

Sorry but I've lived at the IVY Club apartments for over two years and this stuff you are talking about is beyond frivilous. Why would IVY Club rent out their leasing office for small events???? That just doesn't make sense. I could understand if they had a separate club house but they don't and that leasing office is much smaller than many of the leasing offices in this area. Next of all as far as FED EX packages and such it would be nice if they would pick them up but many other apartment complexes in the area do not do this. Even when I lived down south they didn't do it. Then if they lost your package or damaged it you would be crying foul. Just go pick it up from the FED Ex or UPS pick up center or ask for things to be shipped by USPS instead. I won't say IVY Club is the greatest, but its better than a lot of the trashy apartments around here.

Well, I would say this much to Mr/Ms. Anonymous, It is the little things that do count, but at the same token, you need to come to reality and understand no matter where you reside in life, there will always be some sort of rules and chain of command that you may not agree with. Remember, until the day that you close your eyes, you will have rule(s)to follow. So I suggest that you digest it , but you don't have to like or agree with the rules, but you must abide by them.
