I have never in my life seen more dirty and unprofessional place before in my life. I can agree with the previous complaints, my daughter's ceiling caved-in in her bedroom. I made numerous complaints about the leak. They always sent someone out within 24 hours, but they never sent anyone out who knew how to fix the problem.
In addition to that, the tow truck drivers break into your car, take out your parking sticker, and then tow your car away. They have also backed into residents' cars and drove off.
We have never had a roach problem, but we continue to have an ant problem. No matter how much you spray, they continue to come back.
The violence is pretty bad. I did hear about that neighbor who was killed in her apartment recently over the holidays, but that is not the first time that has happened nor will it be the last. A 16 yr old girl was shot in the head about 3 weeks ago.
Don't get me wrong. They fooled me just like they fooled a lot of other people. They show you that the grounds are well kept. They tell you that they are trying to improve the environment and plan on having certain projects to improve the area. They also tell you how you are close to DC and the beltway. All of these things they use to con you into getting your money. I would advise anyone to check police reports in this area and crimes that have happened in this area prior to moving here. Also call the housing authority to see how many complaints Kent Village Apartments has received and what are the complaints for. Check other resources and locations in the same area prior to moving into a hell hole.
