I am a current resident at kent Village Apartments and i only lived here for three months and the resident office tried to say that I didn't pay my rent for the month of June. So with that they decided to put a note on my door stating I owed them $411.50 which I knew I paid my rent on time before the first. So I insatntly went to the office and talked to the property manager Mrs. ----- ass Quarterly who had a stank ass attiude to give her my check of 411.50 she told me that she didn't except checks after the 5th because it is considerd late. So I told her that I would be back with a money order along with my bank documents to prove that I have paid for June's rent. So I returned the next day with all of my documents all she could say was Oh you had two money orders. So to make a long story short they tried to summons me for unpaid rent of 310.00 and again I had to go down there this time with my mother because I guess they thought that since I never rented an apartment before they can play me with my money Not!! So I called my lawyer and my lawyer said that I had a good case on my hands because they sound liked they were in the wrong. So come to find out some one in another complex recived half of my June rent money. In this situation of being a first time tenant here at Kent village apaprtments I 've learned that one you must keep all of your recipts. And in your statements use the word your lawyer quite a few times that a get them to tell you that they made a mistake.
