The leasing staff is energetic and cannot wait to get you in. The people that live at Kent Village also throw trash on the grounds and don't have much pride in where they live. After moving in, the problems began. I had no hot water at various times and when I called the office, the representative said no one else had complained (very non chalant). I had to complain several times and then the problem finally got resolved and then it happened another time in July 06 but was resolved quickly that time. The icing on the cake was when a pipe burst and got many items wet and the carpet was soaked. My son and I had to sleep in an apartment with soaked, smelly carpet for at least 4 days and finally a representative in the office knew that I was serious that something had to be done quickly and they scheduled to have the carpet replaced. Nothing else has happened so far and it will be 1 year in November that I have lived in the Kent Village apartments. It's not the worst place but I have definitely experienced better.

I toally agree. I reside at Kent Village at the moment and and looking for another place to live at the same time.. I moved there at the time due to the fact that the rent was cheap, and was also in the process of going throught a divorce and paying off numerous bills as well.. Well, 4 years later, it's time to move on! The area is horrible, the grounds are not always kept up to par, even the rental office has a high turnout.. The old management was pretty nice and they always help me out when I had any problems.. The new management sucks big time and they don't know how to manage a apartment complex.. Just as long as you pay your rent on the first, you will not get a sheriff's notice on the door by the 2nd..

I'm praying to find a better apartment and to get the hell out of there by July 1!! Wish me luck!!!

Missdee From your review, I can tell that you are not satisfied with living at KV, however, I would be interested in knowing if you displeasure includes the fact that the property has "provided you with unwelcomed pets/pests"? I, at this point, am undecided whether to continue looking for a new home, or to consider KV and just hope that I won't have much dealings with the management/maintainence staff.
