I just moved out of Kent Village yesterday after living there from May to July 2008. The property itelf is very nice. I had friendly neighbors. The kids even opened the entry door for me when I approached it. The apartment was large and clean. I saw only one roach and one silverfish during my stay. I had to call maintenance a couple of times for a closet door that fell down. They responded promptly, and fixed the problem permanently on the second visit. There is a park with tennis and basketball courts, picnic pavilions, a community center, and large open grassy areas at one end of the complex.

The office staff was friendly, professional, and courteous.

It isn t luxury living by any means. But the price is very reasonable for the area.

OK, here s the bad part GUNSHOTS! At least 6 to 7 times since I moved in I was scared snotless by shooting. One evening when arriving home at dusk, as I got out of my car I saw a man running down the street shooting at somebody. You could see the sparks emitting from the gun. Sorry, that to me makes living in Kent Village unacceptable. Not knowing if you re going to be shot while sitting in your recliner watching TV, or just arriving home after dark is enough to scare anybody I think. I mentioned this to the staff, and they said it was most likely non residents doing the shooting. I would tend to agree. But until they can get the shooters out of the area, Kent Village is dangerous.
