I was looking at renting a studio apartment and no utilities is covered. Does any one have any idea how much their monthly utility bills come up to so that I can have an idea of my monthly cost plus rent. Thanks!

Well I live in a 1 bedroom apt here by. I'm on a budget plan with both PEPCO and Washington gas for 40 bucks a month each. However, I think Lansdowne Village is now having new tenants who move in, pay water too. But as cliche' as this sounds, it all depends on how much you use. The budget plans are great bcuz I know how much I'm gonna pay each month and can budget accordingly. However, at the end of the year, if I have used more than I paid for through the budget plan then I owe. But if I used less than I paid for, then they'll either send me a check for the difference/credit it to my account. Now, I didn't get on the budget plans until after a year of residency at Lansdowne Village. So I'm not sure if a new tenant can get on the budget plan right away or not. But prior to the budget plans, I tried my best to conserve electricity and heating. In the summer time, my electric bill was about 80 bucks and my gas bill was about 20 bucks. In the Winter time, my electric bill was about 20 bucks and my heating bill was bout 80 bucks. It just all depends on how much you use of each utility. Rule of thumb for electricity...Unplug appliances and electronics that aren't in use as they tend to still suck out electricity even when turned off.

I am very happy with my utility bills. In the winter my electric bill might be around 100.00(it varies) my gas bill sometimes get out of hand in the winter; around 100-120(varies). For the summer; the last gas bill i received was #12.00. My electric bill is only around $70-75.00 and that's with the a/c running all the time. I do not pay water because i moved in 5 years ago. Hope this will help.
