I live in Overland Gardens. I wrote a review previously stating to give management more time. Well the verdict is in. The truth is that "The best little HO-house in Texas" would provide you more quality living than Overland Gardens. The place is discraceful. There are loud people everywhere. There is drinking and eating of food everywhere. At the end of the day garbage is everywhere. There is smoking and loitering in front of buildings. Doors on buildings are quickly broken, banisters are broken by tenants. I wake up to rap music regularly. There is a man who sleeps in a car all day in front of my building. He loiters many hours everyday. Someone recently took my doormat and used it as a door stopper. Last week I called the police when I counted 9 people on the first floor in the building hanging out. Some tenants do not throw their garbage in the dumpster, they sit it next to the dumpster even when it is empty. I have witnessed children throwing trash outside windows. I would never lie on Overland Gardens. I think the people who work in the rental office are terrific. The problem is that the tenants are horrific! Its a shame because the apartments are beautiful and affordable. Does Barry Farms and Condon Terrace ring a bell' Move to Overland Gardens at your own risk and do not say you weren??t warned!

You need to come in live in my building! I have never seen the doors or banisters broken in my building - nor do I hear loud music or see. I don't know what section you live in, but I hope you have been reporting those activities to the rental office and if nothing is still done you should contact the building manager.

I'm sure I know who wrote this review ( I took his mat OUT of the garage DOOR it was propping open), and I am more than positive what building you are referring too as I live in it. Most of what he has said is true, but not all. Overland is not that bad. It's unfortunate that our builing "3221" has ONE ghetto tenant who has about 50 people in her apartment, but that's one unit! fortunate for me i live on the other side of the building however I live right across the hall from the tenant in question. Like many other residents have said, the good tenants have to bann together to get rid of the bad ones. You can't let one person run or keep you away. My theory is, "they'll go before I do!!!!". Overall, we have a pretty decent building, most are working class individuals. But my question is, when does "CHILDREN" classify a community as being bad. They should be able to freely play outside, we did didn't we? Again I say, your experience at Overland will be what you make it. Please don't take these negative things people are saying to heart. That is THEIR experience, don't let them ruin YOURS!
