First of all let me say that this is a gripe site. People who have either been evicted, did not qualify, or don't pay their rent on time want to have something to say. You complain about the kids in the community, are you sure it's not your children' People who aren't following the rules always want to throw the spotlight on someone else to get it off of them. Are you one one of the trifling residents leaving your trash in the hallways' It's up to you to care about the place that you call home. If you don't care about it then why should anyone else' The rules are always fine until they apply to you. It's alot of your fast ass kids causing problems yet you complain on others, clean your own yard before throwing dirt into someone else's.
Overall, no place is perfect and while you complain about the new management, how many of you are really giving them a chance to make it better' Unfortunately change does not occur over night. They came into a lot of mess and have to ensure that every resident's issue has been and will be addressed while also renting apartments and dealing with other issues. Most of you would not last one day in their shoes. Also attitudes need to be checked at the door, you complain about their attitudes, how are yours when you approach the staff' Professionalism goes a long way even if you don't think that the staff is, you should be. You get more with sugar than ----.

Trust me the new mgmt here is at my complex as well and have been there since around April and have done nothing for improvements, things ahve actually gotten worse so people who are complaining about them have every right to.

You are absolutely right. I advise everyone to use their own judgement and not go on what certain people say on this site. Driving through a community at night always help, especially on the weekends. I'm on a waiting list for an apartment in Baltimore County, and that's what I've decided to do this weekend.

It kills me when management comes on these websites to purposely lie about what the people have been complaining about on here. My question to them is this: Have you no shame?

At least this site gives potential residents a possible view into what could be wrong with a community, instead of them coming into a community "in the blind", which is want management companies want. It is up to everyone's discretion to believe what another says or even what is reported in The Washington Post. And sometimes, the truth can not be hidden and hurts. If there is a problem, the best way to resolve it by management is to FACE IT, FIX IT and FORGET IT.

To all who really want to know the truth. Overland is a beautiful community and I would reccommend it to anyone. I've been in the rental office and have heard first hand the stupid gripes coming from people complaining. You wouldn't believe some of this junk. The screw is coming out of my vent (don't u own a screw driver), the water sprinklers are turned toward the street and wet my car I just got it washed (yes honest to god someone said that) I can hear the door shut everytime someone comes in (no one told u to get the 1st floor leave that s**t for the handicap and walk your lazy a*s up the stairs), Honestly I don't know where they found some of these people. The bad thing is they have to stop to address these stupid, ignorant individuals complaining about dumb s**t. They make it bad for all of us here. I will honestly say in defense of the office staff (Darnel, Joy, Michelle, the new girl ?, and the boy with the glasses - yes I'm calling out names) theyre great (even if they honestly can't solve your problem, they will try to be as helpful as possible) If they are giving you hell, maybe its because you gave it to them, they're giving it back to you. And if you'll have so much to say why arnt you'll showing up at the community meetings. Its always the few ones of us there every time. If you'll do come leave the stupid gripes at home, we only address serious matters that will result positive changes.

Trash being left in the hallways are just getting out of hand. And the rental office needs to address that. In my building an apartment had 2 bag's full next to their door for a week.

Did you notify the office. I have seen them digging in rhe trash to see who it belongs to. My next door neighbor was pissed because they fined her $50. And yes I told on you. I didn't know it was her because she was one of the neighbors who complained with me (she said her kids take the trash out). Needless to say this problem has stopped since. A lot of the times the office doesn't know because no one wants to be a snitch or no one tells them. But I can definately tell you they are addressing the situation. Just make sure its not your kids that are throwing it there first. Because they will fine you.
