I moved in January 28th and man oh man. Well first of all when I came in, my lease was wrong. Had me in the wrong apartment, didn't have the keys ready for me and had to wait 3 days for my mail box key. Oh and I ended up finally getting a copy of my lease 3 weeks later.
I received a $50 ticket because the parking is such an issue. I parked along the median. Yes it says no parking but at the same time, I live right here, why haven't they figured out the parking issue's already'
Now my biggest issue is this, every time the wind blows the light on my hot water heater goes out, meaning no hot water or heat. So I'll call for someone to come light it. Perfect example yesterday (march 4th) I called after I left church, when I woke up that morning it was out, so I took a cold shower :( I called them at 11:15 am, I noted each time i called, would you believe that I called 5 times before the on call tech called me back then he told me that he just came in from the store that he needed to put his food away and eat then he'll be over. At this time it was 7:15 pm. he showed up at 9:45pm.
I look at it like this, I dont care if the rental office has a bunch of people coming and going HIRE MORE PEOPLE. You are running a apartment complex and if you can't deal with the tenants that you have now, why are you trying to bring more people in. Why was this complex opened before they had all this ---- straight. Parking, all the minor repairs etc. etc.

I can feel you with the heat thing (but something things happen, don't blame them blame the wind or whatever construction company decided to build them like that) I have gone threw that also. But on Sun maintenance is off and they are coming from their homes. We can't keep beating up on the rental office for everything (if I were them I'd say f*!k all you'll I quit) we are ALL human and we will ALL make mistakes. Be thankful the situation was corrected. As far as the parking you were stupid for that (PG police don't play). The office does appear to be fully staffed (I know for a fact if they have to hire more people our rent will drastically increase). I've lived here for a while and last summer we had enforced parking and everyone complained about that so they stopped it. Trust me your car would have been towed and you would probably wish you never opened your mouth. But due to complaining residents like you they said they were going to start back enforcing the parking. But I pray that your stay at Overland will be as pleasant as mine.
