I have been here for two yrs, thankfully I have one of the cleanest units in the front.
My teenage daughter is the only child/teen in the building, so there's no small kids running in and out.
These are brand New Apartments for goodness sake. People need to take better care of where they live. Just look at the other apartment communities that are near, they are tore up. People who moved to Overland, may have once lived in those other places, even though its not fair to make assumptions.
The police are working there to patrol the area for our protection and most teens and adults who litter the front of the buildings do not even live here, its probably your ghetto relatives, you know who you are.
Some of you need to pay your rent and garage fees on time and stop complaining. I would lock up your things too if you owed me.
And yes guest may complain about parking passes, but they really dont need it, even my relatives complain but oh well, it need to be enforced as such.
Some of you receive help with your rent and I am not talking about people who can't work due to a disablity, you probably pay little or nothing in rent and is probaly abusing the system, but I have to pay the full price because I work hard for mine and I do not get any government subsidies, so stop complaining.
What do you expect, this is a government tax credit property and all of us had to qualify in one way or another, otherwise we'd all have our own houses.
Either move somewhere else or shut up. Keep your bad kids in the house and stop sending them outside to dump garbage on the ground and in the halls. Oh yeah I've visited two other buildings and its the residents who are trifling. My building is clean everyday. Trust that or I would have moved.
When I come and am relaxing inside, on my furniture, I feel like I'm in Bethesda because my home is my sanctuary and I keep it nice like that.
Until I am ready to move I have no complaints.

Well if you are satified with the way overland Gardens is being ran, then u must work for them, there is no way that staff if is doing what they suppossed to be doing. I am a Hard Working Individual myself, and i have also been living here for two yrs. Some of the problems i had when i moved in such as my security door not working, shortage in my kitchen stove, broken sink in my masterbed room have not even been looked @ yet after numerous phone calls to maintanance. Not to mention the ants we have throughout this whole community. Oh yes and exterminators come every thursday well i have put tags out to mantianance and i have not seem 1 exterminator since i have been here.. i pay rent like everybody else. Just like you. You talk about the police in the neighborhood they dont protect and serve they harrass and irratate, if they secure the area so much why is that cars are constantly getting stolen and broken into..My car has been stolen twice since i have been living here, the second time to never be seen again. Yes the apts are new, yes they are nice but when the staff doesnt give two squirts of piss about the residence what the point of having a nice facility. In your rent you pay for lesures like the security door and good mantainance. SO if im not getting that why is my rent still so high. That why I am looking for another place to lay my head @ night because overlland gardens isnt good enough. Not for me anyway...i work hard and i pay good money to get these lesures and i will get these lesures from another community.

Well I am not satified and I pay my rent on time. I work and when I come home from work I would like a parking space. I attend meeting and ants are in my home. I been here for a year and half. Never finish packing. I saw to many things that distrub me. My entrance door was perfect until renter came in with small children. Yes, I called the office because kids are playing with the door like its a toy. We could have a beautiul community but if you are never taught to have anything, you will ruin everthing even if it was a beautiful home.

You are correct about people letting their Children tear up the place, however it is unlawful for the rent office to turn away a potential resident or dicriminate against them based on socio-economic factors, however some of those adults and their kids have no home training.
I told my daughter do not bring any of those kids in my apartment.
As far as the parking is concerned, there is plenty of parking on the lots, unless someone have out of state tags and cant park because of that. You do deserve better and good luck if you are plan on moving. I will be here until its time, all the small minor things are going to be there, until us resident do something.

These seem like minor problems to me. I haven't heard anything about rodents or thugs hanging out. Doesn't sound that bad. This is the cheapest and nicest community that I have seen. How much more can you ask for? Save for a house!!! An apartment is meant as a temporary living situation. Whoever wants to make it a permanent home must be a lazy welfare, section 8 recipient. End welfare and section 8 and a lot of places will be much nicer.
