Lived there when it was Belle Haven Apts

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
Had a three bedroom with 2 baths for $735. Yeah it was ghetto looking outside, but the apartments were nice and really large on the inside. However, there were thugs outside and in hallways, crackheads everywhere! People where up all night there. Then they renovated. Used our incomes to get tax breaks and remodeled. While doing the renovations they moved me from a 3 bedroom to a 2 bedroom with a den. Forcing me and hy hubby to give our four children the master bedroom. Then after our building was renovated, they told us we all had to re-apply, pay the application fee and meet an income requirement. Now mind you, right before they did renovations, they made all the tenants show proof of income and if it was too high you were given a 30 day notice. They only wanted the low-income people to stay so they could qualify for the tax break that would allow the renovations. Following the renovations the rent for my very same apartment jumped to $955.
