I have been living at Carleton East for over 4 years-but only until I find a home. The apartments are spacious but very old. The kitchens and bathrooms look like they are from the 60's era...if that. There are a lot of maintenance issues here and the staff are slow to respond. However I do consider the fact that the maintenance staff follow the lead of the manager who can appear initially to be very nice but is considerably passive aggressive and rude. There are an increased number of maintenance concerns because the apartments are old and the repair method here is comparable to placing a band-aid" on a gun shot wound. I was recently told that although it feels and seems that we have an A/C here, we do not have A/C but some sort of cooling system that is not the same as having A/C. The hot water and A/C are frequently out "due to repairs". All in all, Carleton East is not horrible but if you can find a place in better condition that is maintained well for a little more money...TAKE IT!
