Here's a twist for all those apt hunters I was an employee and tenant for 3 years back in the 1980's.A few things worth your consideration.
#1-Roaches. They were huge problem back then and evidently still are.The culprit is those indoor trash rooms,a stupid idea.
#2-MGMT-Evidently "Miss Rita" is still there and still rude.Unbelieveable.I can't speak for the present MGMT but the old Resident MGR Nancy was always a class act although strict.
#3-Kids.What others have said regarding children are TRUE.If you have kids go elsewhere.
#4-Parking.Has been a big problem for decades.Looks like the present way of dealing with it uses a "heavy handed" approach,which would scare me away for sure.A visitor pass before 5pm or get towed,what the heck is that all about.No flexability whatsoever.#5-The owner. Was always a strict,no nonsense guy and the way this complex is run shows that.
Overall,if your an older person or a single person with no kids and no friends this is the place for you.Anyone else forgetta bout it.Save your $$ and buy something.

Im a current residence at forest lake and i just wanted to make a few pointers. Yes "ms rita" is still here, i dont know anyone of the name Nancy but the Mngr here is Duncan who can be an ass at times; The trash rooms were removed June 1, 2007; Living here with kids is fine, there are 2 play areas and a pool (open summer only of course). Parking is okay, you MUST have a sticker (if you live here) to park if not, you will get towed and if you dont get an parking pass for guest by 4'45 then oh well, park somewhere. i like the place, we moved into a 2bdrm last year, i hate being on the bottom floor cause of the water problem, but since they came and sprayed last year, i've seen like 3 roaches, had a HUGE infestation before. so everything here is okay
