Save yourself the grief. Although I have been to apartments that are far worst, I know that if mamgement gave a ---- Countryside could be much better. In fact it used to be. I have been a resident for 4 years and trust me Countryside Apts. and Realty Management leave much to be desired.

After reading the previous reviews I can relate to many of the stated complaints. Quite simply Countryside Apartments are only interested in collecting rent. The apartments are grossly over priced and the service sucks (to put it nicely). And they can go through the trouble of contracting a tow company to tow your car, but no one has tried to come up with a viable solution so that you can park close enough to your apartment and not need a shuttle or an armed security officer to escort you so that you dont get robbed. And you would think that they would at least respond to your request after charging so much. Everytime we have had any repair request I have had to call a dozen times just to have the problem addressed. And on several occasions that has not been enough.

In conclusion PLEASE dont be fooled by the model apartment. Your apartment is not gonna look like that and the staff is alot nicer when you are filling out your application than they will be when you call them with a maintenance request. All you ever get is the famous "Let me have your number and we will call you back". If I hear that line from the office staff one more time I am gonna flick off. It?s not until you write a nasty letter and go up to the office and perform for the office staff and prospective tenants that they actually do anything. So instead of you going to work to make enough money to pay the high ass rent you have to take off and play babysitter/ supervisor to the office and maintenance staff so that your apaprtment is within the county safety code.

(just had to add as an after thought)

And let?s not even talk about snow removal. It took them 4 days to plow the snow enough for you to move your car. It was a nightmare. Then there is the issue of the high turnaround rate. So everytime ones of your neighbors move you have to deal with their roaches. And I have heard plenty of people say that if you clean up you wont have roaches. Well if your neighbors are nasty and filthy you will catch their overflow. And it never fails that everytime a new tenant moves in they bring a bag of roaches. And the little treats (aka bait) that they leave for the roaches is a joke. The roaches obviously throw a party and serve the bait as a main entree? because they certainly dont die and the bait disappears. So me and my husband had to take matters into our own hands and buy some raid bombs. And it was not until then that the roaches went back to wherever they came from.

I could go on and on but I think you get the picture by now.......

I moved into this compex February 2005 and am about to ROLL OUT this February coming and can not wait!!. I've had some not so good encounters with property management and the leasing office period. It's not until I actually gave up on getting any assistance from the leasing office and decided to send a Certified Return Receipt letter (and CC'd: Countryside) to headquarters up in Bethesda, MD, that I got service the VERY NEXT DAY! Coincendence maybe? Yeah right! and ever since then, when I "need to" or "have to" contact the leasing office, it doesn't take "AS" long as before, but it still takes enough time for results. Since my stay here, the leasing office got new people working there, but I still go through some of the same crap with the old staff just as well as with the staff. The two good things about Countryside is that they don't require parking stickers, so one can most likely find a spot near their building (I've never had that problem where I didn't) and of course the apartments are spacious and with your own washer and dryer (in those winter months) that does come in handy.
