Our Lease is up in August...

And if we could get out of there faster we would. I read the lease up and down and it says that the apartment was given to us free of varmin, rodents, bugs, etc. Our first night there, we were *attacked* by gnats, and other types of bugs from them leaving the balcony open to *air* the place out. The rental office asked us to do a laundry list of things that still needed to be tended to in our *renovated* apartment. Out of maybe 30 things(some minor, some not) 2 or 3 were fixed. After being there for a few weeks and during a storm, our daughter's room ceiling started to leak(causing the ceiling to peel and look very ugly). They came and fixed whatever was *leaking*, but they have not fixed the ceiling yet. Since then, whenever the people above us run water, we get water in our kitchen lights, or in the many nail like holes that are inside the doorways. One morning we woke up to our bathroom floor being flooded.
As for the mice, 4 months after we moved in, we saw a mouse, and have continuously seen droppings or sightings in every room of the house. We have also heard things while laying in our bed trying to sleep at night. I've seen droppings on my counter, as well as in the walk-in closets in the bedrooms. The exterminators have only put traps in the kitchen, and the holes that they are most likely coming through have not been closed up at all(another thing that was on our laundry list of things that needed to be fixed). To top it all off, when we called to tell of a mouse sighting, the lady in the office asked if we had babies or just one, and when my husband said one, she told us that the exterminators couldn't come back out until the following week. We waited a couple more weeks before calling them back when noone showed up and then the exterminator gave my husband a bunch of traps(not put together) and told him to just put those around.
We haven't seen many roaches but probably because the mice are eating them. And I live quite close to where the shooting happened, as well as close to where one of the sex offenders lives. I have two small children and this is no way to live. Our lease is up in August and it can't come quickly enough.
Please reconsider moving here, this place is the worst... SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
