Mice scratching thru the walls and Roaches invading the kitchen...Oh my!

Ok I moved in July 2007 and moved out as soon as my lease was up in July 2007. Why' Roaches and mice! I loved my spacious two bedroom on the top level of 9911. I couldn't complain the first 3 months that I moved in. I later began to see a mouse right after Christmas. I called the rental office in panic and the staff said that he would tell the maintenance staff and have someone call me back. I waited in panic for 5 minutes then I called back and the manager told me that mice was not an emergency and to just go and buy a trap. I was appallad at the lack of sensitivity re: the mice matter. I could even hear the mice scratching thru the walls in my master bedroom. Maintenace came and removed my dishwasher and boy there was a hole behind the dishwasher soo big that the maintence staff had to go outside and saw a piece a wood large enough to cover the hole. Ok, thanks problem solved. Nope, then in March I saw more mice. They placed notices on the doors saying they are having pesticides come in and deal with the problem. Well, on the date that my unit was scheudled to be fumigated well no one showed up. Then I started noticing that roaches were multiplying by the dozens in my kitchen. I am a very clean person so please don't think this only happened because I had a dirty apartment. It was so bad that the last few months in the unit I ate out of the house every night. This is a property issue. The maintence man told he that he has been living on the property for 8 years and have to deal with mice in his unit just like I have too. That was encouraging. Long story short. Don't move here. If I had known about this site prior to moving I would have heeded the advice. Oh and parking is horrible. I use to have to park in the back of the complex 8pm each night because all the spaces in front of my building were taken. I found my self racing home to get a space by 7pm only to enter my unit and fight roaches coming out of the freezer when I opened it to get a glass of ice water and to go lay down in my bed and listen to mice scatching thru the wall. Save yourself, I wish someone would have saved me from this experience. They were changing management when I left but even that was a bad experience. They sent me a notice saying I didn't pay my rent the month after I moved out. They called and asked for the keys that dropped off when I moved out 17 days later. Which could only mean one thing. They didn't keep up with the keys that I dropped off when I moved. It's going to take some time to get in right, in the meantime move somewhere else.

I absolutely agree and it sounds like me and my family could have written this review. That place needs to be condemned and imploded...no amount of upgrades or management change is going to get the job done.

I too lived in 9911 and the mice and roaches were terrible. I'm still stressed about the place. I broke my lease and moved, could not take the mice and their droppings everywhere. When they moved my bed there where mice dropping on the carpet. They had been under my bed, unbelieveable.
