The Title say it all. WOW. I moved to Countryside February 2008. I must say it has been a roller-coaster ride. I moved too Lanham/Seabrook based on my knowledge of how it was 8yrs ago. My oh My how things have changed... I have nothing against Africans, but GOOD LORD, they are everywhere. The smells are ridiculous, and they let their kids play in the middle of the street as if they are on an island.

Parking is ridiculous. If you get off work at 5pm and don't get home until 6, don't count on a parking spot. They've been claiming they are going to do assigned parking spaces, and I just laugh and say OK.

I had a problem with Mickey, Ben, and friends, but quickly corrected the problem on my own. I can't stress it enough people, you are living in an apartment building with 8 to 10 other families, everyone is not clean so you have to be proactive. I went and invested in pest control products and haven't seen a mouse or a roach since. No need to call the rental office, they just come spray water on the floor to say they've come.

We're now into the summer months, and out of 30 days, the air has only SOMEWHAT worked 2 days. They are constantly blaiming the chillers. Again, they are claiming they are going to convert everyone over to individual AC units, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

You gamble with the Hot water. So ladies (and some gents who still do it) who perm their hair, be aware. You may want to boil water before putting the relaxer in your hair.

The walls are really thin and you can hear the kids next door playing, people doing (you know what) or smell the urbal essence coming up thru the floor of from the walls.

NOW THE PLUS ABOUT THE APARTMENTS.

I love the space. I have a 2 and a den, and the space is by far the biggest I've ever had. I love the convienence of the washer and dryer inside the apartment.

So you make the decision. Unfortunantely it looks as if the bad out weigh the good here. So I guess it's what you're used to and what you're willing to setting for. I've learned a lesson here and that was to never sign a 12month lease. ALWAYS DO 3 or 6. Then if you like it do 12. At the end of my lease, I'm leaving faster than the speed of light.
