Can anyone give me an updated review about this apt complex''' Are things still the same, better or seem to be getting worst' Thanks for your help...

Sure. I just moved into this apartment complex June 2009/this month. I drove around here atleast 2 times out of the week at night on some weekends to make sure the neighborhood was safe and good..seemed that way..then when I moved in.....NOTHING BUT MALES, MALES, AND MORE MALES. They sit outside all night and day drinking, smoking, but they don't bother you really. I'm a female so they try to of course talk to me, but if you brush them off they will leave you along. The apartment on the other hand...I LOVE IT. I have a 3br. The first 2 rooms are small and your not getting anything over a full size bed in one of the 2 rooms, but the mastetbed room is a nice size. You can get a king size bed in the room and the closet is a big walk in closet. You get a vanity sink next to your bathroom and there is already a sink in the bathroom so its perfect for a girl like me. Some of the 3 bedrooms apts have do 2 bathrooms its just based upon availability because when they call you for the move, you have about 10 days to come up with the money if you want the apt, but thats if you haven't already saved up for it. I'm a single mom in my younger 20s with 3 little girls....never really lived in the hood but yes...this is the hood! lol No one will mess with you though. Especially if you are in and out but its just always people outside around here. Most of the people hanging outside don't even live in the complex they just come from all over just to hang outside but they are actually nice. Haven't ran into 1 problem yet with them. Then for 730 electric for a 3 bedroom...you get what you pay for. Parking can be a hassel when coming in late at night..you may have to use the street from time to time. So far I haven't had to use it but I think its luck. Maintenance...you gotta keep putting the press on them but eventually your stuff will get fixed. I don't really have any complaints about maintenance so far. You can manage living here, but look else where first. I moved from Naylor Gardens in S.E. DC and if I can go back...I would have stayed there, but the price is unbeatable here. NG is $900.00 all utilities included for a 2 br. and $785 for a 1br. The rental office staff...I LOVE THEM and have no complaints at all. They have been wonderful to me. Hopefulle the males outside will die down because the just starting having security around here and it is starting to work. Then the rental office is now starting to encourage the residents to call the police when the guys are outside smoking and drinking, but I haven't been one of the people to call them because I'm in my apt and out the door so it doesn't bother me. i lived here over 11 years if you get a real nice apt your lucky i have been lucky i heard people complain about roaches and mice and bed bugs and its all what you make of it my unit is nice, when something needs to be fix it gets fix sometimes it may take a couple days or a week but they do fix it, way back when you had to wait days at a time and months ,management was bad different managers have came and went now its getting a little better management now trys and work with you not just push you off but they do have their faults and r not perfect but its a little better i dont have roaches or mice and no bed bugs its quiet, now and then but rarely you may hear a gun shot nothin major since years ago ,they have no playgrounds, lots of kids but nothin major to worry about. if you mind your own business your fine, males do hang out but they dont bother you and it all matters where you live in the complex i have nosy neightbors some units come with carpet,spacious kitchens some units have walk in closets lots closet space the bigger units have 2 bathrooms the rooms are a good size the rent is resonable that why i m still here but if u can do better and afford elsewhere go for it i can afford to elsewhere but ive heard to many horror stories on this site about other places that is why my next move is homeowner
