Underneath the great exterior leaves little to be desired

There is a reason why the tenants refer to the facilities as Roachland Landing. There are so many roaches that they've mutated to be immune to many roach baits, including those sonar plug-ins.
Any complaints to maintenance fixes are met haphazardly until something big happens as a result. In our case, our bathroom exhaust fan kept leaking water (into our backs when we sat on the toilet). They insisted that it was moisture from hot showers until the paint on the ceiling started caving in. As it turns out, it was toilet water from the apartment upstairs!
While courteous, their staff are barely helpful. Since we have moved in, we have complained about noise violations from our neighbors and filed numerous complaints with the rental office. After no follow-up calls, we decided to call the corporate office, who informed us that we were not properly informed of the proper procedure to address the problem! I'd also be leery about their billing process. They're quick to send you a court date for failure to pay rent without sufficient time to address the problem internally, even if you have paid rent and have a good payment record!
I initially thought that the price was a deal for this space. It turns out that we got a serious lemon.
