Just Disappointed!

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
I moved into Woodland landing after visiting a family member whom had lived there for a couple of years. It just so happened the same time I moved in was the same time they switched managers in the leasing office. WORST MISTAKE EVER! She was never there, never returned phone calls and has this "Queen of the World" attitude when you finally catch up with her. I moved into my apartment in October 2007 and at first it seemed like a great move. Note the at first in the statement. After I moved in Maintence became a headache, taking forever to get things completed that were supposed to be completed prior to me moving in. The carpet should have been replaced but it seems it was just lightly shampooed. The closet doors were broken in everyroom. Parking was ok, you always had a spot to park but never enough room to get out of the car. Their always was this man walking around the neighborhood asking "where are you going'" or "can I have a dollar'" The walls are very thin and my neighbors' children were always running through the house and when the children werent running the parents were arguing LOUDLY and when I called the leasing center to complain I was told in a very cold and uncaring manner to CALL THE POLICE THEN as if I was bothering someone. My building was so secure someone kicked in my neighbor's door while I was @ work and the neighborhood is sooo great someone set my neighbor's car on fire inturn damaging 3 additional vehicles. My apartment was spacious but falling apart. I had water damage in the main bedroom and the blinds always broke in the dining room. Maintence would come fix it and they would break the next day. The bathroom tub was painted instead of being replaced which meant paint chips when my children wanted to bath. They did replace the windows and patio door which was the only great thing they have done since I have been there. Unlike many other apartment complex's they do not offer a grace period when it comes to paying the rent, if its not paid by the first they file papers on the 2nd. The manager is uncaring, money hungry and very judgemental. They really should bring back the guy manager. He wasnt so money focused and he maintained the property very well. I wouldnt recommend Woodland Landing for anyone who cares for the living situation.
