First and foremost I would NOT recommend this apartment. I moved from a different state and was looking to be close to a Metro station, and where I work. So, I did not get a good sense of the area since I only visited twice! The rent is way too expensive especially considering the surrounding neighborhood is not the greatest. I will describe the following below of both the Pros and Cons, but my lease is up this summer, and I DO plan to reside somewhere else.
Pros:
1. The metro is right across the street (Blue line), but since it is the last station on the Blue line for MD, be prepared to be on the Metro for 45 minutes depending on where you need to go.
2. There is ample parking. This has never been an issue.
3. I do love my apartment! I moved into the new building (Its very spacious and everything is new), as well as it has a full-size washer & dryer.
4. The Clubhouse is nice with a pool.
5. Overall the staff is helpful as they can be, and are friendly. This is a positive.
Cons:
1. This apartment is apparently the most expensive apartment in the neighborhood, and I feel it is too much since you have to pay rent and all of your utilities!
2. I was told that I had to get Valet trash (this is an extra $30 a month). This should be made an option, and I don't consider myself lazy.
3. The alarm systems DO NOT work in the new building, this was supposed to be fixed on two occasions, but STILL DOES not work, and we still have to pay $15 a month. CRAZY..
4. The crime is getting out of hand; I had only lived here for a week and was awakened by someone trying to steal someone's rims! I looked out my window and there were over 5 police cars!!
5. The gate is always broken, or you will have people that DO NOT live there that will wait by the gate to get in..This is not safe at all.
6. As I had mentioned before I am from a different state, so the culture of people is much different, the leasing office failed to inform me that the Fire department or maintenance men would be making random checks on my apartment (smoke alarms, appliances). So, sometimes I would not open the door.
7. The noise level can get out of hand, as I can hear my neighbors music and even their telephone ringing. This was reported to the Leasing staff and a notice was placed in the building.
8. The area around this expensive apartment is not totally safe. There was just a shooting at the Uno restaurant, and the Shoppers Grocery is nasty and the people that hang out don t seem to care that they are rude or lack any customer service skills.
Overall, I feel that if this apartment was in a different area and not PG county,it may be better, I had heard so much negative about PG county, but this particular area is not a good place to live, especially being a single female.

It's because Camden properties are built shotty for the price they charge. I could hear my neighbors phone ring and a nice breeze coming thru my windows but nothing was ever done.
