We haved lived in North Hampton for about 2 months... The move in was horrible... First they tried to overcharge us. Second they told us after signing the lease that everything had been turned over in our name and we were good to go... Well come to find out the gas was not even turned on to be switched in our name... We had to stay in a very cold apt for about 4 days with out heat. I can say that maintenance did come bring us a small electric heater... So small we had to go bUy another electric heater just to stay warm...

Disadvantages of living in North Hampton:

Lighting:
This apartment does not have any lighting in the bedrooms or living rooms only fire sprinklers where light fixtures should be. You have to use lamps, then once plugged in you can turn the lamps on and off with the light switch...SO ANNOYING...

Poor paint jobs... for ex: hair, dirt, etc painted onto walls.

Stackable washer and dryer is so small and so out dated...Can't complain because at least it works...

Kitchen:
does not have a dual sink and the sink is very small... The fridge makes strange animal noises... The dishwasher does not work properly and turns all the bowls and cups upside down so when you pull them out they are filled with nasty water...

Bathrooms:
the sink faucets where the water comes out to wash your hands is too small... It is to far back on sink so it is hard to run your hands under the water... You have to wash one had at a time...

Everytime you turn on the light in the bathroom the fan comes on... The fan is so loud...It does not even work it just throws out dust and dirt.

Advantages:

On the flip side we stay in the newer apartments...

Plenty of parking spaces...

Courtesy security patrol...

Convenient to alot of shopping areas...

Not to loud...

Not to far from the Metro and DC...

The funny thing, I live on the old side and that's the blessing. The apartments are larger and for I've only ever had a power shortage once in my years here. It was not during the major hurricane that blew the power out everwhere else in Maryland. People look at siding and think they see something new and better and totally ignore the strength of the brick. LOL. Otherwise the staff SUCKS!

I two have lived here for about 6 months now and I live on the older side, my apartment is very big and spacious. I have no complaints at all about my apartment. Also, in regards to your gas, when I first filled out my application and was apporved before I moved into my apartment, they informed me that I had to call the Gas and Electric company to get everything switched into my name. They will not do that for you, they said that if I did not get it switched by the time you move in, they would charge from the time you take up occupancy plus an additional fee.
