My dog was injured

First off I can't wait to move in May! When we first moved in, there was a pond in the closet. They fixed it, but 2 days later, we still weren't able to put our stuff in some spots. They had to come back out and get to the root of the problem before everything stopped spilling into our apartment. It was a week or 2 until we could get comfortable. Later on we had a flood somewhere else in the apartment and it damaged some of our stuff.
Our cabinets in the kitchen keep parting from the wall so I'm waiting until they finally crash down and hope I'm clear of them. My apartment is drafty which contributes to high energy bills all year round. The appliances are out-dated so that doesn't help either...
The lighting in the parking lots is horrible because they're broken or never working.
Despite "security" several cars are still broken into, stolen, or neighbors are raped (occurred on 12/12/08).
The biggest thing is the safety of the area. My dog recently got severely injured on broken glass which cut through 2 tendons, 3 ligaments, 2 arteries, and a nerve- $2100 bill for that and WHY do I pay pet rent or did I pay the deposit' This isn't the first time she's been injured on NH property, but this was the worst. This just happened on 12/8/08 and believe me, I will be calling someone about it.
Maintenence takes forever to fix something, the fire alarm in our stairwell isn't reset...
Need I say more' Do you seriously want to live here'

I lived in these apartments from 2003-2005 and had the same problems with water leaks!!! The only advice I can give you in order to get out of your lease is to call the Owner's (Equity) if it's still them and complain. I had just had a baby and found out that there was mold in the walls next to her crib which caused her to have a asthma attack. Needless to say it was a mess. Maintenance and the office kept telling me that there wasn't mold in my walls until I finally paid $400 to have a private company come out and test the wood and the mold in the walls and closet that I found and discovered it was poison!! Well when that happened everyone was bending over backwards including the owner's. They put me in a Marriott and paid for it for 1 week while they moved me into a new apartment. Then they offered rent free for 6 months and a reduced rate for the other 6. After that I moved. So be very careful when it comes to those leaks it will cause MOLD!!! I would check it out and then you will have your way out of there with no problems!!!!!!!!! P.S. I did pursue a law suite and they are liable for my daughter until she is 18. (she is only 5 now)

Did you tell the police? It was between the 213 building and the one behind it on the far end. I'm in the 211 building and am scared as hell. I hope you are all okay!

Actually, I didnt make a report, but I plan to. I think it's someone in the complex because I described what the assailant had on to my husband, and when he went outside, he saw a guy with the same thing on walking away and removing his shirt after the courtesy officer showed up. My family is well though a little shaken, but Thanks alot!
